Delete your Kudita vendor account
Last updated: June 2026
This page explains how to permanently delete your Kudita vendor account (web dashboard and mobile app), what data is removed, what we may retain for legal compliance, and how long processing takes. This applies to store owners using Kudita — not individual buyers on a vendor's ecommerce website (contact that store directly for buyer account questions).
How to delete your account
Method 1: Kudita Vendor mobile app (recommended)
If you have the Kudita Vendor app installed (Android or iOS):
- Open the Kudita vendor app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Personal info.
- Scroll to Delete account and tap it.
- Read the warning — deletion is permanent and removes your stores, products, and settings.
- Enter your account password to confirm.
- Tap Delete account to submit.
Your account and associated store data are deleted immediately upon successful confirmation.
Method 2: Email support
If you cannot access the app or prefer email:
Include your registered email address and store name. We may verify your identity before processing.
Method 3: Vendor dashboard
Account self-service deletion from the web dashboard may be added in future releases. Until then, use the mobile app or email method above.
Data deleted
When your vendor account is deleted, we permanently remove from active systems:
- Account profile — name, email, phone, password, and authentication tokens
- Stores — all stores linked to your account, including settings and branding
- Catalog — products, categories, variants, coupons, and product images
- Store configuration — shipping rules, taxes, locations, and store-specific settings
- Staff & roles — sub-users you created under your account
- Store customers — customer records stored for your store (not buyer accounts on other vendors' stores)
- Device tokens — push notification registrations for your devices
- Plan orders — subscription purchase records tied to deleted stores
- API tokens — mobile and integration access tokens
Data we may retain
Some records must be kept for legal, tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes under Nigerian law:
- Order & payment records — completed sales, invoices, and Paystack transaction references
- Wallet & withdrawal history — financial ledger entries for audits and disputes
- Legal & compliance data — information required for tax reporting or ongoing investigations
- Anonymized analytics — aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics
Retention period
Financial and transactional records are typically retained for up to 7 years as required by Nigerian tax and business regulations, then securely destroyed.
Before you delete
- Withdraw any remaining wallet balance to your linked bank account
- Complete or cancel open orders where possible
- Download product data or reports you need for your records
- Cancel active subscriptions if applicable
- Inform customers if you are closing your store permanently
Deletion is permanent. You cannot restore your account, stores, or products afterward. You may register a new account later, but previous data will not be recovered.
Processing time
App deletion
Immediate — processed when you confirm with your password in the app.
Email requests
Within 7 business days after identity verification.
Confirmation
Email confirmation sent when deletion is complete (email requests only).
Your privacy rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act and applicable regulations, you may also request access to or export of your personal data before deletion by emailing [email protected].
